It's taken me many years to figure out what that dream even was. For years, it was to be on Broadway. For a tiny bit of time I thought it was to become a teacher. And, honestly, I have had a new "dream" at least once a day since I was 20. But the passion for those things just wasn't there.
Finally, one day I began to think about the things in my life that really made me happy...excited even .
- Christmas
- Halloween
- People
- A Shop
- Living Green
- Living Simple
I say "began," but in all reality I am many, many years away from actually having this farm. I'm currently living on the central coast of California (though I'm a native Kentuckian), with only a little bit of a backyard, but a gorgeous view of the ocean.
But because I don't really have another passion in my life...besides Hubby, of course...I've decided to start planning and dreaming away about Leaning Shanty Farm and what it will be one day.
So if you'll indulge me, I'd like to share this with you...
Welcome to Leaning Shanty...Can I get you a cup of coffee?

Did you design the page header? It's really, really good!
Oh C - How I wish I designed the header. I actually found it on istockphoto.com. But maybe one day I'll be able to do it. I'm hoping to take a few photoshop and illustrator classes soon... We'll see.
PS Totally enjoyed your commercial about your house flooding!!! ;)
You saw that damn thing? It's been dogging me for about a year and I hate it. My head looks twice as fat as what it actually is. >:0/
BTW, don't waste money on classes. Adobe produces books for their programs called Classroom in a Book. They're broken up into lessons and I know for a fact that teachers take their lessons directly from these books. So essentially you'd be paying 500-1000 bucks for lessons taken from a 40 book. Even cheaper when you get a used one on Amazon!
Dream, dream, dream . . . what you can see is what you can make happen.
I've already booked my room and ordered room service. You do have room service, right? :)
You would be one damn fantastic B&B runner. I look forward to the day your dreams turn into reality!
What a wonderful place, I'm ready to come. I love it!
Merry Christmas to you and Drew!
love,
A. Margee
